Roof height decides whether you can work inside it
A high roof lets most people stand up in the cargo area. On a low roof you are kneeling all day. If the van is a workshop rather than transport, the high roof pays for itself quickly.
Payload runs out before floor space does
Tools, parts and shelving reach the weight limit long before they fill the van. Check the payload figure and subtract the weight of the shelving you plan to fit.
Fleet kilometres read differently
Vans on regular highway routes with disciplined servicing age well. A well-maintained van at 200,000 km can outlast a neglected one at half that. Ask for the service history.
How it is financed can matter at tax time
