Who we are

Easy Start Auto is a vehicle sourcing and financing service in British Columbia. This policy explains what we do with the information you give us.

What we collect

Only what we need to look for a vehicle for you and, if you ask, to help arrange financing:

• Your name, phone, email and the city or area of BC you are in
• The vehicle you want — type, year, make, model, trim, kilometres and your must-haves
• Your budget, whether you are paying cash or financing, and any down payment or trade-in
• For a pre-approval: your employment status, an income range, and how you would describe your credit

We never ask for your Social Insurance Number, date of birth, driver’s licence or banking details, and you should not send them to us.

How we use it

To search for your vehicle, to contact you about what we find, and to help arrange financing if you ask us to. A person handles every enquiry — nothing about you is decided automatically.

Who sees it

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Our website is hosted by Automattic (WordPress.com), which stores form submissions and provides our visitor statistics on our behalf.

If you ask us to help with financing, we give a lender what it needs to assess your application, with your consent. We will tell you who we are approaching.

We may also share information where the law requires it.

Cookies

This site uses cookies from our host to keep it working and to count visits. You can block or delete them in your browser settings.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep your information while we are working with you, and afterwards only as long as we need it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
